Musicianship: 5 points, she knew the song really well and was able to sing it in tune and with the right rhythm

Leadership: 10 points. Kelly had a loud voice and was good at making eye contact

Preparation: 15 points. She really knew her song and her lesson plan and was able to perform it well without using notes

Delivery of Instruction: 20 points. The sequence of steps was great and she did a good job of explaining once she saw that the students didn't understand.

Kelly did a really good job teaching the lesson and knowing what she was doing. However, this seemed to be a little too difficult for the students. She should consider age level when writing up these lessons.

Musicianship: 4 points sang the song very well. Had no expression while singing. I thought she was very well in tune and new the rhythm.

Leadership: 7 points. She was able to make eye contact with everyone but didn't move around and didn't really have a lot of energy. Teaching rounds was an inappropriate concept for first graders. As a teacher you should know the ability of the students.

Preparation: 14 points. Kelly knew the music and knew what she wanted the students to do. However, she left the progression of the lesson up to the students.

Delivery of instructions: 15 Points. She did a good job with putting students into groups and making sure they were comfortable with the song. her verbal instructions were not very clear and had to many yes or no questions as to what the students wanted to do rather then what she wanted. she never brought a lesson to a close and didn't review with the children what they learned.

Kelly choose a good song and tried her best. I think for the first time teaching a lesson Kelly did a nice job and had some good ideas.
