Stephanie Evaluation Lesson: Singing "Hey Betty Martin" Musicianship (5 points): 5 Stephanie sang in the appropriate tone and an accurate rhythm for the song. The way she taught the phrasing was appropriate for the grade level.
Leadership (10 points): 9 Stephanie was a little soft spoken when singing with the piano. She did have a louder speaking voice when giving straight instruction. She kept eye contact with the students and had a great energy through the lesson.
Preparation (15 points): 14 Stephanie relied heavily on her written lesson plan for teaching the class. She used visual cues for the students to understand the music and was prepared for that. She did not use extra equipment or instruments for this lesson.
Delivery of Instruction(20 pts): 19 Stephanie had a nice flow for the lesson and motivated the class with hr energy. She sequenced the steps so that the class progressed up to the singing and dancing within the time limit. She was able to give the verbal instructions in a way that young children would understand easily.
Musicianship (5 points): 5 You had very good tune and pitch, but it would have been better if you would have once played it through on the piano and then again singing without the piano because the piano overpowered your voice. You had a very nice rhythm for students to understand. The tempo was fast enough to be exciting and slow enough for the students to learn. It was nice to teach the notes, but when you started to talk about F# right away and not explaining it in detail it may have lost some students who are not experienced with music.

The tone was nice and the piano helped you keep the tone, but again for the volume of your voice in particular it overpowered you and we couldn't here you. When we were going through the song I noticed when you were playing the piano that you did not look up once to see if we were doing an activity correctly because you were not familiar with the piano notes, but overall in leadership that you did a great job in leading the class.
Preparation (15 Points): 15 It was great that you know the song well enough to go on with your lesson. I could tell that you put a lot into your written lesson plan.
Delivery of Instruction (20 points): 20
you did a nice job keeping our motivating the students throughout the lesson. Nice job directing the lesson. I could understand all of your verbal instructions. Your quesioning tone of your voice was demanding.lol...but you did a good job overall.
