very nice job dana!! I really liked your song! The organization, and the prop you used for the song, helped with hands on learning which was nice. Also, you made sure everyone got a turn. You made them feel special. Another thing i saw and liked, you asked them what rain does and why it rains. You were teaching them more then just melody or music, you were teaching them science. Something that is also very important in young childrens learning!! One thing you could have done better, was given more examples and more thorugh instruction on what they were supposed to do. Theres no way some kids could sing the song all the way through after hearing it one time! Other then that, your video was great!!!

I think my lesson plan was okay. I think I could have put more time into learnining the song more. I didn't feel confident that i was singing the words in the right pitch it was intended to be in. The good thing about teaching a song that is new is no one knows if it is right or wrong. I think that the use of the umbrella was a good idea to keep the students attention. I think I could have spent more time teaching the words to the song.the dilivery was okay aside from that. Overall I think I had good volume while speaking. I think I was well prepared for the activity. The dilivery was ok could use some adjustments. I would give my self 45/50

Dana this lesson was so cute! I loved the idea of using an umbrella in the activity - a smaller one would have been easier for them to handle. There was great application connecting a music lesson to the weather, something the students are familiar with. You need more confidence in your lesson! It is evident you know what you are doing...just show it! Your biggest strength is definetly how you demand the attention of the students. I could tell you had practiced your lesson. As Victoria mentioned, there were a lot of words and a fairly complex melody for this age so I would make sure you break down the song and repeat it a few times before expecting them to sing it all the way through. Good work!

Grade: 44/50
