i noticed in my lesson a few things i could have done better as a teacher. My voice was very hoarse from the weekend, so I could have apologized and told them to bear with me. giving directions and as the students are learning the song, I need to look up and watch them to make sure they are all doing it right, and doing it in general, and make them feel included. I also need mor energy. 1st graders have a greater energy level. As a closing of the lesson, i could have asked the students what the acorn represented and why. I also, could have asked for other examples or things to replace the acorn to make it more fun for the students.
Although i need to work on some things, I found I did pretty well in others. I was loud and clear and made sure everyone understood the lesson. I gave the instructions step by step so everyone could pick up on them.Everything i need was ready, the rhythm was the right pace, we could have probably went faster to make it more challenging. I captured the students attention by being able to geuss where the acorn was and sit in the middle away from the rest of the class. Everything flowed pretty smoothly about except for the ending.
Overall, i think i did a decent job teaching the lesson, but I need to practice more before giving it and looking up and giving my students the energy they need.

Victoria, I really enjoyed watching your lesson plan. I think that you did a good job. I noticed you voice level was a little low at first. You seemed a little nervous to start but you really pulled it together after that. I think you did well explaining the steps in your procedure.I think you were well prepared and your delivery was very good. I noticed that the closure portion was very quick. I think you could have used a little more time going over the concepts that you taught. Overall the lesson was really good. I looked like a really fun game. I think it was a good choice for first graders because they love to play guessing games. I would give you 44/50

Overall, great job Victoria! The concept of the lesson and the activity were both very appropriate for the grade level. You could have used a little more practice so you did not have to use paper during your lesson. More interaction with the students would help with delivery of the lesson. The procedure was very clear and easy to comprehend! The acorn was cute and applied well to the season.

Grade: 43/50
