I think that Steve did a great job with his teaching lesson designed for first grade. I could tell that he was nervous at the beginning of his lesson and perhaps a little camera shy. He did seem to have an accurate rhythm and pitch. He seemed enthusiastic about teaching a first grade class and his demeanor was as if he was actually teaching a class of first grade. I could picture him in an actual classroom and think that he would do well with the students. His attitude was upbeat and was really engaged in the song. Children in first grade need respond well to this type of energy coming from an educator. At times though I could tell that the students seemed puzzled as to what came next. I would suggest asking the students or have them practice before performing a new task. His voice was soft and on video a little hard to hear. I would recommend he have a confident, clear and loud voice when teaching. He did make good eye contact with students and smiled throughout the song. He did ask questions to make sure students understood the lesson. I think that Steve did a great job and with some improvement will do well in the teaching world.

I assign Steve 45/50 points for his lesson plan.

(a). What did I do the best?
I believe the best thing I did was capturing the audiences attention and keeping the activity fun.
How did I prepare for that so I did well?
I prepared for this through getting to know all of my fellow classmates during class.
(b). What did I not do well? Describe the places that went wrong and explain why.
I struggled the most in my approach as well as in the directions. I wasn't speaking very much like a teacher and once I began giving directions they were not very clear as to what should have been done.
(c). If I were given another chance to redo it again, what would I do differently (you can talk about all the aspects of the whole thing including writing the lesson plan, practicing it, and presenting it in class)
If I were given another chance to teach the class I would do a lot more planning and preparing. I would spend more time in front of the mirror giving my presentation and doing it in front of friends. I would also have stuck to my lesson plan. I strayed away from my lesson a little bit in the beginning which caused everyone not to know what was going on as well as they could have.

Musicianship- 5 pts
While it was not singing, I was in tune and on beat.
Leadership- 2 pts
I lost a lot of points here. My arms were moving all over the place as well as my intensity being down. It seemed as if I was very nervous.
Preparation-10 pts
It was really hard to tell here because because I had no materials available for the students, but it did seem like I knew what I was talking about and knew the material very well.
Delivery of Instruction-10 pts
I did keep the students very intersted in the subject, but it was delivered very bad in my eyes. It seems as if I'm nervous, talking like a baby, and skipping steps to song.
Overall grade of 27/50
